On behalf of the Board of Trustees, I would like to take the opportunity to welcome you back for the 2023-2024 school year. We hope you found the time to rest, relax and spend much needed time as a family over the summer and are keenly looking forward to the start of a new school year.
As you can see, we took advantage of the summer break to do a lot of work at both of the campuses. It is our goal to create a space where our students feel safe, welcome and free to learn and create. We are working diligently with our staff, students and families to provide the best possible environment that we can.
We are looking forward to a productive partnership with you, the parents, to ensure that all our students can achieve their highest potential. We recognize that to be successful in school, our children need to be supported both at home and at school. As partners, we share the responsibility for our children’s success and children seeing their parents taking an interest and being involved in their school sets them on the road to higher achievements. Please consider volunteering your time, efforts or even resources to solidify the partnership with your child’s school.
This year we have made a significant, positive investment in our Teachers’ Professional Development through a program called “Visible Learning”. This program means an enhanced role for teachers as they become evaluators and accountable of their teaching. Ultimately, this will benefit all our students substantially making them accountable for their own learning in partnership with their teachers.
