Renfrew Educational Services is a registered Canadian charity and designated Special Education School in the province of Alberta. They have four school locations in Calgary and serve around 550 children in their in-house programs every year. Additionally, RES offers services to school boards, organizations, First Nations, and families in the community. The Renfrew team works closely with classroom teachers and school staff to address issues impacting students’ abilities to access and fully participate in educational programming. Together, they work with teachers, administration, and students to develop long-term strategies for student success, providing therapeutic supports including targeted group learning, consultation with the classroom team, facilitation of in-class participation, and individual support. Psychology support at Almadina Language Charter Academy is provided through an Alberta Education grant to support mental health in schools.
